Throughout Baghdad, amongst the various icons of Saddam Hussein, scribbled over his image you would find the words “A-Team”. I was surprised by how many places I saw it and wondered if it wasn’t this war’s version of “Kilroy was here”.

On the Eastern Coast of Italy, exists an enchanting coast line that sports views of Capri Island, the Mediterranean, and many gorgeous hill-side communities. The roads are small, the tour buses are many, but none-the-less…it is a place that everyone should see once.

This photo was taken in beautiful Norway. The colors of the grass were amazingly rusty and I couldn’t help but to try and capture them the only way I knew how. These ponds were scattered everywhere high in the mountains and it was almost hard to resist stopping at each and every one of them tas each one had its own charm.

In Iraq, I was passing this Mosque that was being rebuilt. I happened to see all of the workers lined up like this passing parts of scaffolding up and down as needed. If you look closely you can see a pipe being passed.

SO if you have read the “about me” section of this blog, you will remember that I talk about trying all types of photography and gave it a run this weekend when I photographed my 88 year old grandfather. This is a classic type of photography and there are subtle challenges to making a good portrait. Lighting, pose, activity, b+w vs color, depth of field,etc…and a multitude of post processing issues.

This was my go, and over all I am pleased with the result.
