In the Bamboo

There is a beautiful place in Kyoto where you can lose yourself in a pristine bamboo forest. The bamboo rises so very high in the sky and protects you from a sun that tries unsuccessfully to penetrate the canopy. I would definitely go back again, given the chance.

Palouse Sunrise

Went to Washington state this week and took some of my non-working time to explore the area I was in… this was one of the shots I got after waking up at 3:50 A.M. Anyone that knows me knows that I am more likely to stay up until that time than to get up that early, but I did. I will be more mindful in the future of the summer solstice when thinking about sunrise shooting.

On another note…sorry for the layoff, but just have been busy and needed to charge the creative juices. It would seem that all bloggers reach a point of apathy and reflection about what they are trying to communicate and what they want out of the experience.
